Hispanic Heritage Month
It's time for Hispanics to accept that our cultural roots, rich legacies and the diversity within our community represent unique sources of strength for societal and leadership advancement.
Our quest for opportunity; our ability to anticipate crisis and manage change; our contagious levels of passion and entrepreneurial spirit; our generous purpose and desire to hold onto our cultural roots to preserve the legacy of our family – represent the fabric of who we are and what we stand for.
Our Latino community must become a mosaic sewed together by these natural characteristics that give our voice prominence. This is especially true at a time when the U.S. economy needs the Hispanic community to share its values and strengths as an example of what the rest of America must discover from within for itself. Latinos represent powerful assets for the corporations we serve and for the future of America.
We must stop being viewed as a puzzle whose pieces don't fit together. We are a puzzle whose pieces have yet to be placed together.
Just think of what we can do today – if we focused on being more aware of our natural characteristics and how they can give rise to our community. We would quickly be discovered. Our voices would be heard. We would blossom as leaders and our influence would shape the dialogue of America.
Let's make the path easier for ourselves and the future of our children. Let's apply our cultural values and strengths to help cultivate economic prosperity and the sustainable well-being of America. It's time to come together. Our time is now!
